A Letter from our CEO
As I reflect on 2023, a year of remarkable resilience in shifting markets, I am particularly moved by the embodiment of one of CauseLabs' core values: Radical Respect. This past year, due to personal health concerns, I took a sabbatical, a decision not made lightly. During this time, the tenacity and dedication of our team were nothing short of extraordinary. They continued to deliver exceptional service, maintaining the quality and commitment our clients expect and deserve.
This experience has deepened my appreciation for our team and reinforced the essence of what makes CauseLabs special. It’s not only about the technology we create or the services we offer; it’s about the people - our team, our clients, and our partners. Their support during my absence was a true testament to the strength of our collective spirit and the importance of a supportive, respectful work culture.
Looking back on 2023 as I help put together this impact report, I am proud of what we’ve accomplished together. From acquiring a new brand and expanding our services to celebrating significant milestones and receiving prestigious awards, our achievements reflect our commitment to excellence and positive impact. As we continue to grow and evolve, these accomplishments remind us of the power of respect, collaboration, and community.

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the world’s shared plan to end extreme poverty, reduce inequality, and protect the planet. CauseLabs is a member of the UN Global Compact. Our projects continue to align with at least one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Action Manager Scorecard
The SDG Action Manager Scorecard is an impact management solution developed by B Lab and the United Nations Global Compact. It enables businesses of all sizes to set goals, track progress, and stay motivated on their actions toward the SDGs. CauseLabs measures our impact against all 17 SDGs. We are scored out of 100 based on various targets defined by B Lab and the UNGC for corporations.
Our Commitment to the Planet.
What do we measure and purchase carbon credits for? Server space, emails sent, emails received, zoom video hours logged, website traffic, car miles, air travel miles, and our employees' home carbon footprint.
Our 2023 Carbon Footprint: 110.3 MT
We purchased credits from Gold Standard which was listed on epa.gov website as a trusted source.
Finances Supporting a Healthy Team
We believe that our employees are the most valuable aspect of our company, and we follow that belief with action. Our value of radical respect is demonstrated in how we pay all of our employees an average or above average wage for their role in our sector, market, and regions.
Radical Respect at CauseLabs means respecting the entirety of a person. That includes their health and well-being and that of their entire family. Our health benefits cover 100% of healthcare premiums for an employee’s entire family. Quality healthcare is a valuable benefit for our team’s peace of mind.

In 2023, CauseLabs CEO and co-owner Sheryle Gillihan was honored to receive an award as the STEM Woman of the Year. This award was presented by Women in STEM Leadership (WISL).
